Summer Plans

Well I don't seem to anything planned for my summer vacation. I might meet some relatives and hang out with my friends, but other than that I might just relax read a couple of books, learn some new subjects. I am planning on taking classes over the summer so I won't take them for my sophmore year like American History and Health. Other than that I might just practice some of the sports I do like tennis, golf, and swimming since they are also recreational sports as well. I just hope that this summer will last a lot longer than the other summers that have already passed. 

Oh well, that is possibly my summer, Anybody else got any big plans for their summer.

The Univerasal Language

There had been an increase in the number of immigrant children in the US that are learning English as their second language for the first time. This has caused school grades K-12 to change the way they teach these immigrants, that opens up a whole new market for tools and technologies that help teach English as a second language. A program called ELLIS teaches English by associating words through the everyday objects that are usually seen, instead of definitions in their first language. These technologies also are accessable on BlackBerrys and PDAs that some of these people might have. Also ICQ and other messaging porgrams have a corrective english program so it also helps the immigrants throught chatting in chat rooms as well.
I think that this is a great step foreward for people to learn a new language in anyway that is accessable to them.

Skype for Iphone

Well this is great, the Skype company finally sent out the Skype App for the Iphone.

Skype is a program that allows people to talk with each other over an Internet conection. It is kind of like instant messaging but It is actually meant to be a type of phone connection only on your computer. You usually can talk to other users on Skype for free and you pay pennies for calls to regular phones or other countries. Which could be great in our tough economy.

This new application for the Iphone in my opinion is great because you will be able to talk with people more while paying less.The only problem I see is that you have to have an internet connection(WiFi) for this to work so that could be irratating.Since most places don't have a really strong connection.

Grammy Presentations

Well finally we are finished with those long Grammy presentations.It took forever for me to find the music clips for it since the school internet blocks every single website. Oh well the it is over so we can now move on. I hope spring break is just around the corner.
